Bryan King believes Yves Bissouma’s position as a Tottenham player is set to be questioned after his “disappointing” performance against Chelsea.
The ex-Spurs scout feels that the midfielder is someone whom the club should look to replace this summer.
It comes after Bissouma once again failed to deliver for Tottenham as they were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday (2 May).
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has questioned whether the 27-year-old is good enough.
“Bissouma kept getting caught in possession and giving the ball away, he was disappointing,” King said.
“Spurs will be starting to question his ability and whether or not he is capable of playing in midfield under Ange Postecoglou.
“He is one of the players who Tottenham should be looking to move on and replace this summer.”
Yves Bissouma running out of time to prove himself to Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Unless Bissouma puts in four world-class performances between now and the end of the Premier League season, it is hard to see him starting much next year.
After a promising start to life under Postecoglou, Bissouma’s form has fallen off a cliff.
Whether or not he is sold remains to be seen, but it is hard to imagine that Postecoglou is keen on making the Mali international a big part of his plans next season following his recent performances.
In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou must have words with one player at the club who Tim Sherwood claims can’t be trusted.
