The seven players picked by the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 NFL draft haven’t signed contracts with the team yet, but there also isn’t much negotiating that needs to be done.
In 2011, the NFL and NFLPA introduced a rookie wage scale as part of the collective bargaining agreement as a way to combat the rapidly soaring cost of signing newly drafted players. That means that every player selected in the 2024 NFL draft has a pre-determined contract value based on where they were picked.
While there are still negotiations hang-ups from time to time (usually over the payment schedule of the signing bonus), we already know how much Chop Robinson, Patrick Paul, and the rest of the new Dolphins will get when they sign their contracts.

Signing bonus: $7,711,796

Rookie contracts for first-round picks also include a fifth-year option with a value based on the player’s position. It can also escalate if the player reaches playtime benchmarks and/or earns Pro Bowl honors.
