BREAKING NEWS:”after what you did Tonight, will you still consider coming back to Manchester United?” Peter Schmeichel asked Jordan Sancho after the game against PSG

Jadon Sancho delivers clear message against PSG as Manchester United sent brutal transfer truth - Manchester Evening News

Jadon Sancho fielded inquiries about his future at Manchester United following his stellar performance, earning the Man of the Match accolade for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi-final.

The 24-year-old showcased his brilliance on Wednesday night as Dortmund secured a 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the semi-final clash.

Sancho, on loan from Manchester United, dazzled with 12 successful take-ons, marking the highest tally recorded at that stage of the competition in the last eight years. Additionally, he created three chances, including a notable opportunity for striker Niclas Füllkrug with a well-executed reverse pass behind the PSG defense.

Despite his outstanding displays, Sancho’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain. Currently on loan at the Bundesliga club until the end of the season, Dortmund has expressed interest in retaining him beyond his loan spell. Given his stellar performances, Sancho is likely to attract interest from other clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Speaking to CBS after the game, Sancho expressed gratitude for the opportunity Dortmund provided him at a young age, saying, “Obviously, I came here at 17 and they gave me the opportunity to play my professional football. So I’m just delighted with all of the staff and the players who have welcomed me back, and I always give it my everything in front of the fans.”

When questioned by former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel about his future, Sancho remained noncommittal, stating, “Who, me? I really don’t know, but I’m just focused on the present right now.”

Sancho and Dortmund will travel to France for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on 7 May.
