Breaking News: Jamie O’Hara tells Ange Postecoglou to ‘get rid’ of £80,000-a-week Tottenham player, ‘he’s not good enough’

His time is up' - Jamie O'Hara brutally slams Tottenham long-servant - The Boy Hotspur

Jamie O’Hara has urged Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou to ‘get rid’ of one of his players following his performance in the North London Derby.

Spurs suffered a 3-2 defeat on Sunday, but it could’ve been considerably worse.

Postecoglou’s men were 3-0 down at half-time, and if Arsenal had really gone for the kill instead of making needless errors, the scoreline could’ve been a lot more humiliating.

Tottenham, however, deserve some praise for going for it in the second half, and if it was the old Arsenal, Mikel Arteta‘s men would’ve probably conceded another goal.

However, the Gunners are among the best teams in Europe right now, and Tottenham’s shortcomings in the first half just killed the game.

O’Hara, as you can imagine, was not happy at all with the result.

Jamie O’Hara makes strong claim about Tottenham’s Ben Davies

Tottenham were dealt a huge blow just before the North London Derby – they lost Destiny Udogie to a season-ending injury.

Spurs had the option of going with either Ben Davies or Emerson Royal at left-back, and Ange Postecoglou chose the Welshman.

Before the game, many people pointed out how Bukayo Saka could cause Davies all sorts of problems, and they were all right.

The Arsenal man scored a brilliant goal to double his side’s lead in the first-half, but everyone will agree that Davies could’ve done a lot better.

Speaking about the goal, Tottenham fan and pundit Jamie O’Hara was absolutely furious with the way Davies defended.

He has claimed that everyone knew what Saka was going to do when he got inside the box, even Davies, but his mistake made it easy for the Englishman to find the bottom corner.

On talkSPORT last night, O’Hara said: “We go 2-0 down, Ben Davies, shouldn’t be playing left-back but has to play left-back, he’s not good enough. We need to get rid.

“Show Saka on his right, show him away from the goal. You let him come in and just put one in the bottom corner. You know what he’s going to do. You know he’s going to do that.”

Ange Postecoglou could make unsurprising Ben Davies decision soon

Tottenham‘s recruitment has been really, really good over the last year or two.

The North Londoners have brought in the likes of Micky van de Ven, James Maddison and Destiny Udogie over the last two seasons, and they have all been success stories.

Tottenham are expected to strengthen their defence again this summer, and a player who can play on the left side of central defence as well as at left-back will be on the agenda.

If Spurs do bring in a player like that, that would likely bring an end to Ben Davies’ career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The £80,000-a-week (Spotrac) Wales international has been a great servant for the club, but he’s no longer at the top of the pecking order, and moving on would be the best thing for all parties.

We expect Ange Postecoglou to sell Davies in the upcoming summer transfer window. Leeds United have been linked with a move to sign him.
